“Voting is an honor and a privilege,” says Sherrie Feldman. “So helping to get out the vote for a candidate or a proposition isn’t just a job to me; it’s a chance to make a difference. I love it.”
And campaign managers love Sherrie back. She’s been focusing on political advertising for more than 20 years, supervising buying for both Democratic and Republican candidates running for offices at every level, including President. Sherrie especially relishes working on ballot measures, where buying acumen really matters, because ballot measures are not entitled to the same “political rate” that candidates enjoy. Her expertise has impacted more than 100 propositions covering such issues as Indian Gaming, tobacco taxes, California’s “Three Strikes” law, securing approval for major real estate projects, education, bond measures, rezoning and more. You name it and she has bought it!
Sherrie was born and raised in Philadelphia, where she began her media career over 35 years ago as an assistant buyer at the first buying service in the world, which Dennis Holt had founded. After stints at Grey Advertising, BBDO, ABC and CBS she reconnected with Dennis in 1990 at Western International Media in Los Angeles, where she was Senior Vice President/Associate Media Director and Director of Political Media Placement. And now her career has come full circle--she is working again with Dennis and many of her other long-term friends and colleagues at U.S. International Media.
