With more than 35 years' experience in marketing, advertising, and media, Mike has held management positions with major advertising agencies, founded his own agency in New York and was even involved in the so-called dot com revolution as CEO of a web-based interactive marketing company.
Mike’s ties to Dennis Holt and Ginny Daly go back to the late 1960’s, when Mike was an early staffer at Dennis’ revolutionary standalone media buying shop. He later served as Managing Director of Western International Media (now Initiative) in New York, and head of client service for that shop’s network of east coast offices.
After college and a U.S. Army tour as a Special Agent in the Counter-Intelligence Corps, Mike started at Compton Advertising in New York, moved through research and media positions there and at several other agencies including Lennen & Newell and Foote Cone & Belding, where he rose through the ranks to Media Director, and later, Executive Vice President and Account Director.
Mike was co-founder of Keenan & McLaughlin in New York, which handled major accounts including Mobil, Pizza Hut, Guinness, Vita Herring, Bass Ale, Dow, Warner Brothers, Alfa Romeo, Brown & Williamson, Orrefors, Burberry's and Michelin.
Widely recognized as an industry leader, he was Chairman of the New York region of the American Association of Advertising Agencies and has conducted marketing and media courses at New York University and Rutgers.
