Kelly Wong is a native New Yorker whose entire business career has been intricately involved with television.
She began interning in 1987 at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences while an undergraduate at St. John’s University, and was so impressive in that post that she was hired as an Assistant Media Director there.
In 1990, she joined Creative Media as an Assistant Buyer, and over the course of the next dozen years, advanced to Senior Buyer and eventually supervisor, negotiating on behalf of such clients as MCI, Volvo, NASDAQ, Adidas and Hewlett Packard. In 2000, Kelly was promoted to Vice President of Spot Broadcast, supervising all buys for the Discovery Networks, which included Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, Discovery Health and Discovery Kids.
Kelly joined the U.S. International Media team in 2005 as our New York broadcast buyer. When she isn’t negotiating on behalf of our many clients, she teaches ballroom dancing and studies karate and kickboxing. She is famous for her award-winning smile!
