Senior Vice President, West Coast Planning Director Janet Bescoby has rejoined the team that had created the world’s first standalone media management business, which quickly became the largest and most innovative media management company in the world. The company was Western International Media Corporation and the team included media pioneer Dennis Holt and industry leaders Jack Silver and Alicia Nelson. Janet now works closely with these experts and other professionals in the growing U.S. International Media family.

Janet brings to USIM’s clients her tireless energy and substantial expertise. She is an authority on automotive advertising, and currently manages planning for three Chevrolet dealer regions – Western, South Central and North Central – that encompass 49 Chevy dealer associations. In previous executive positions, Janet has handled multimillion-dollar accounts for Kia Motors America and Hyundai Motors America.

Janet’s areas of expertise also include broadcast (national and local), online/digital, fashion, print, radio, entertainment, QSR, out-of-home, promotions, retail and fast food. Her client list has included some of the best-known brands in the advertising industry, such as Walt Disney, Home Depot, Carl’s Jr., Universal Studios, Pacific Sunwear, Kia, Hyundai, UPN, Arco AM/PM, Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus, Jenny Craig Weight Loss, Century 21, Orion Pictures, Universal Theme Parks, MCA Home Entertainment, Universal Pictures, Comprehensive Care Corporation and CIGNA Health Plans.

Janet’s value to her clients is her ability to help them find the right needle in mass communication’s enormous haystack. The media industry is dynamic and complex, constantly affecting how consumers interact with its various forms of content delivery. Consequently, marketers realize the greatest benefit from media specialists such as Janet who can help them achieve their advertising objectives efficiently. She brings to the task strengths in long-term brand strategy, mentoring and coaching, multi-office management, P&L management, data analysis, business development, budget management, presentations and negotiations.

Janet earned her bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Communication Studies – Mass Media. She has been a guest lecturer at the Art Center School for Design in Pasadena, California; speaker at Annual Disney Summit; instructor at Western International Media University; speaker at Advertising Club, Cal State Fullerton; speaker at Microsoft Sales Training (LA region) and member of BAM-OC.

A loyal UCLA Bruins football fan, Janet has been a season ticket holder for over 20 years. In fact, she met her future husband by taking him to a game on a blind date. She is a native daughter of the City of Angels, and loves gardening, sunset watching, hiking, walking, cooking, traveling, reading and watching wonderful, small British and foreign films.
