Originally from Los Angeles, Alex began his media career at Western International Media (now Initiative) as an Assistant Media Planner in 1998. At Western International Media he managed both traditional and multicultural media plans for clients including Disney and Carl’s Jr.
When the Hardee’s account was transferred to Western’s New York office he was asked to be part of the transition group. It was supposed to be a three-month assignment. Not surprisingly, he fell totally in love with The Big Apple, and when he was offered a promotion to Senior Media Planner if he’d stay on, he gleefully accepted, and has been a true blue New Yorker ever since.
In 2000, Alex transferred to Western’s online division where he worked on Nextel. After the dot com crash of 2000-2001, Alex took a few years off from advertising to manage his family’s jewelry business in Texas.
But New York and media were in his blood, and he returned to New York as Media Supervisor at the Vidal Partnership, a premier Hispanic agency, working on Amstel Light and Heineken USA.
When time permits, Alex travels to Texas to help out in the family business. Need a diamond ring?
