Even though the media industry is facing tough times these days, TV viewing has escalated to an all-time high, according to recent research from The Nielsen Company. According to Nielsen, the average American family now watches over 142 hours of TV a month, an increase by 5 hours compared to last year. On a daily basis, that translates into about 8 hours and 18 minutes. TV remains the primary way Americans choose to consume entertainment, news and information.
